Radfest 2023

Radfest is a smalll festival based in Radcliffe on Trent, Nottingham. Radfest focuses on a family friendly style showcasing upcoming singer-song writes and bands in the Nottingham area. Radfest has around 3000 people enter its field each year and has 1 main stage as well a stage for young kids to showcase their music skills, there are slides and festival games as well. This annual event brings the music to a small field in Radcliffe showcasing a social event for everyone to enjoy bringing a community feel with social areas as well as a welcome environment for all cultures and ethnicities.

This year is my second year at Radfest coming as a part of my College. This year I was incharge of all lighting and took the lead with programming, operation and design. The challenges with lighting this event includes having only around 2 days to design and organise the lighting as well as having limited transport access therefore I had to limit the lighting to the essential fixtures. Planning and implementing the show all within a few days and then spending hours at the show operating and then packing down afterwards.
