Autobiography
Growing up in a theatrical environment, I have cultivated a keen interest in the events industry. At the age of sixteen, I commenced a college course in lighting and sound engineering, concurrently engaging in live performances at festivals, corporate events, and other venues. Through my practical experience, I have developed a deep passion for lighting and I am eager to expand my knowledge further.
Based in Derby and Nottingham, I have been an enthusiast of the industry for an extended period. Through voluntary contributions to festivals and theatres, I have accumulated valuable experience in diverse settings.
I first started helping backstage at Danceworks Unlimited dance shows. Then, as my interest sparked, I decided to look into the industry a bit more.
In 2021, I finished my GCSEs and moved on to A-levels, where I did a Level 3 BTEC course studying live and technical events at Confetti in Nottingham.
Over this time, I spent the 2 years gaining as much experience as possible by volunteering at multiple events and opportunities.
I then moved on to Nottingham Trent University to do a BSc in Event Production, with even more opportunities from curating my own designs and operating a vast range of events, I evolved from a standard lighting technician to a designer. I graduated from NTU in 2026 with a 1st Class Honours.
I am currently working full time as a lighting technician at Encore EMEA, as well as taking the occasional freelance gig.
